How To: Organize Your Products

I have a Type “A” personality. There. I said it.

Since I was a little girl, I have always been a stickler about how my things were arranged. To this day it makes my skin crawl to see things haphazardly thrown around with no purpose. Okay, you get it.

As I was on one of my organization crusades last weekend, I was searching for another container that could hold all of my hair products. I had products all under my cabinets in the bathroom, on the floor of our linen closet, amongst other random storage options. To make life easier, I needed something simple that could sit nicely and tucked away in the cabinet. I didn’t have any luck. Then, I got a bright idea & headed down the kitchen aisle.

I found a rack similar to this (but half of the cost). Here’s how it turned out:

If you’re looking for a way to organize, I would highly recommend doing something over the door. Here are a few tips:

-Organize by function. It makes things so much easier when I’m looking for something specific to do to my hair. I no longer have to sift through mounds of products looking for what I need. If I need to co-wash, I head straight for the 2nd shelf.

-Hang on a door with a lot less activity. I hung mine on our linen closet in the bathroom.

-Put items with less product inside on the front and the items with more product in the back. It balances and helps with shifting.
