We have made it through another year and I hope you all had a fantastic one. This year has been incredible for myself and Blushing Black as a brand. After a rough and rocky 2013, this year proved that sunshine can come after storms & rain. After declaring 2013 the year of destruction and rebuilding, I took it upon myself this year to be happy and enjoy life. And because of that determination, I did just that {Cue Pharrell’s “Happy”}.
2014 may have not been the years to top all years, with several difficulties and disappointing moments that came to fruition, but it sure had more highs than lows and everything was a learning lesson.
Here is a look back at some of the highlights of this transforming year.
-I began the year moving into a dream location in the heart of Atlanta. After much discussion and negotiations, we got exactly what we wanted.
-I turned 30 and the party was spectacular!
-I learned how to drive on ice. Click here to read the story. Let’s just say this wasn’t a highlight, but the beginning of me learning to trust my gut. I should have never left my house that day, like I thought.
-I jumped in head first into photography and instantly fell in love with the craft. My favorites being lifestyle & street photography. I have always had a love for all things visual since I was a teenager.
-I was selected & invited to the hottest blogger’s conference ever! #SBScon
-I had the pleasure of collaborating with some of the hottest brands such as PopSugar, eShakti, & Zuvaa
-I was featured on some major platforms.
-I shared the most life-changing news I’ve ever experienced.
-I went on one vacation this entire year. But it was so relaxing and well worth it!
-After all this fabulous news, I found out I was having a little princess!
I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store!
