Last week I had the absolute pleasure of making my way to Washington, D.C. to celebrate 100 years of my beloved Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta. The experience was like none other I have ever experienced as a member. Every corner, every plane, every bus, every train – everywhere you turned, you saw someone wearing Crimson & Cream. What a dream! Although many of us were strangers, we greeted each other, no matter how young, old or what chapter they were affiliated with. I can say the experience was truly a humbling one!
During the trip, I (attempted) to take pictures of everything. I was so in awe of everything, especially since D.C. is one of my all time favorite cities in America to visit, I only attempted to take some photos. Here are my faves from the trip!
{A beautiful welcome was displayed all around the campus of Howard University, the place where Delta was founded in 1913}
{We found her! “Lady Fortitude”}
{Hanging with one of my all time fave Sorors of the Eta Kappa Chapter}
{I absolutely love these Sorors! We had a ball!}
{We also came for business. Stepping, and stepping hard, is what we do!}
{A beautiful sunset behind the Chinatown Arch}
{One last shot before leaving D.C.}
OO-OOP! to all my Sorors worldwide, especially my newest Sorors, Susan Taylor and Angela Bassett!
