Last summer, I wrote about my love for apothecary jars (See post here) with no clue what to do with them. Now that I’m settled in the house, I’ve found various and intriguing ways to fill all my jars with pretty contents (See here, here, and here). Before our 10 minute Winter actually hit, my mind was going 1000 mph trying to figure out how I wanted to  make my jars Spring-ready. Then one day, I had a bright idea.

I purchased a few silk orchids from Ikea for $1.99 each 2 years ago. At the time of this project, they weren’t being utilized. With a little twisting and bending, I was able to get the arrangement to do cooperate to fit in the jar and Viola! The larger jar, I used a set of dried flowers I bought from Macy’s.

Check out the tutorial to show you how I was able to get the orchids in the jars and hopefully it will inspire someone else to try it too.

FYI:  I twisted the bottom of the orchids into a coil shape before inserting.
