We’ve come to the last Friday of the month {time does fly} and we’ve dedicated all Fridays in February to educating ourselves and the masses on understanding heart disease and how it affects you. To wrap up the conversation, let’s talk about what we can do to prevent it.

According to the CDC, here are some risk factors for heart disease:

  • Alcohol
  • High blood cholesterol levels
  • Diabetes
  • Diet
  • Heredity
  • High blood pressure
  • Obesity
  • Physical inactivity
  • Tobacco use

Simple things like exercising & keeping a healthy weight, eating right, limiting spirits, and not smoking can help lower your heart risk. This is not just true for heart health, but for your overall health. You also have to get regular check ups, as well.
