When I find myself offering fashion advice, it’s because I can speak from my own personal experiences. Granted, those experiences are typically mishaps, but my goal in sharing is to either help someone who may be suffering from the same issue or help avoid it altogether. Today’s life lesson is the brassiere, better known as the “bra”.
It’s amazing how most of us were so eager to get boobs and now that we have them, we don’t take the time to properly get fitted and wear the right bra size. We all assume we are a certain size because we’ve been “wearing that size for years” but think about it: are you the one wearing the wrong size bra?

As I was graduating with a degree, the girls finally decided to show up. Go figure. Nevertheless, I continued wearing the same size for the next 7 years. Then recently I noticed my bra would cut a bit into my skin or would feel like it was squeezing my sternum. I never really thought too much of it. As time progressed, it got worse, so on instinct, I thought I’d better go get measured, just to make sure. Sure enough, not only was I the wrong size (77 bras purchased later, she tells me), but I was an entirely different cup size. (Say what now?!) Please don’t ask me the trick. I have no clue where they came from. Nevertheless, when I purchased bras in this new size, I instantly felt better and more secure (take it how you want to). From then on, I vowed to make sure I got measured every so often to make sure no new developments would appear. No pun intended.
