Being pregnant was truly life altering, but it had nothing on the experience I’ve had in the past two months with my daughter live & in living color. Motherhood has been fantastically fun, exciting, scary, yet amazing all at the same time. Today I’m sharing the lessons I have learned in this short amount of time of motherhood.

It definitely takes a village…and a lot of prayer!

Taking it one day at a time is essential to one’s mental health. Doing too much will make you overwhelmed.

Boobs were made for 5 reasons: breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, & snacks. That’s it.

Babies are just little people. Like any good relationship, you still need to listen to what they’re saying…even if it is through crying.

Mothers need other mothers. Their support is worth more than gold and their friendship is invaluable!

When it comes to babies, blowouts are not a hair styling technique. Trust me.

Everyone is going to tell you how to raise, feed, discipline, and parent your child. No one knows your child like you do. Do what works best for your situation.

The whirring sound of a breast pump can make you snap at times. It’s okay. It happens.

Don’t sweat the small stuff. It really doesn’t matter.

Advice is fantastic, but trust yourself and your instincts. It comes with the motherhood package deal & are 99.9% correct. If you’re wrong, so what? Do it over again and get over yourself.

Never be afraid to summon for help and ask questions you don’t know the answer to.

None of us have it all together. We’re all doing on the job training.

Take time for yourself! Whether it’s an extra 10 in the shower while everyone sleeps or enjoying a quick mug of your favorite tea, make time for yourself!

Love on your baby every chance you get. They’re growing every day!
