With excitement and glee, you eagerly try to contain yourself as you head to your family’s…
It’s Thanksgiving!
You arrive…
You get out of the car and do little dance…
Maybe a little two step…
…or whip your hair back and forth…(just whip it)
No one can stop the excitement!!!
Potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese, stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey (of course)…and Mama’s cakes/cookies/pies…basically anything sweet.
It brings a tear to the eye by the mere thought.
You hear harps and angels and praise God…Lord knows you’re hungry.
But when you get inside, tragedy strikes…
Once you get inside, you have a meltdown
Your stomach is starting to eat itself!!
When. will. it. be. ready?!
…time passes…
…Two hours (and too many conversations later)
To your delight, they announce it’s finally time to eat!
…and when it’s all said and done, you EAT!
…has anyone ever felt like this?! LOL
