This past weekend I had to shoot two events. The first one I was hired on site; the second was a bridal event at Ivory Bridal & Formal in Smyrna, GA. I absolutely love this boutique, as it is such a dreamy space to be a bride. This event took me back to 2010, when I was waist-deep in my planning. This was the time before things became overly complicated, with too many opinions and lonely days. When dreaming of the elements that would make our day the most special in the world was fun.
As a photographer, I love working bridal events because I get to capture details. Simple things that make a bride a bride and her day her day. I love dresses that look like clouds, diamonds to accent everything from hair to wear, and colorful blooms and cocktails to match. As we’re in the throes of wedding season, I’m excited for the new brides I’ll get to work with this summer & fall, capturing all the little things that’s meaningful worthwhile.
