Lately I long for days to spend with friends where I can laugh out loud (literally), be imperfect, reminisce about college days, say whatever with no apologies, and just “be”. So when one of my greatest BFFs Rasheed wanted to hang out at one of our favorite places in Atlanta, L5P, I was game! We haven’t had the chance to hang out since my last post here in January so the trip was much needed.
Hanging with my buddy always turns into an adventure. We both posses the energetic/sarcastic/laugh-at-each-other-but-still-love personality that will keep us friends forever. Hanging out is always a laugh out loud, catch up, and ruin-every-song-that-comes-on session. Hanging out with friends who you can freely be yourself provides you that inner strength to know that no matter how bad life can be at times, life will always be okay.

The day ended up being fabulous with a lot of laughs, screams, singing, and window shopping. With all the bad news, accidents, frustrations, job losses, and more-bills-than-money days, I encourage everyone to surround themselves with great people and friends that make those days (whenever they come) a little (or a lot) more bearable. With some of the trying times I’ve had in the past month, it was definitely a breath of fresh air.
