As promised here, I got around to painting my nails this new color in the Essie Fall 2011 Brand New Bag Collection. The color I’m wearing is ‘Glamour Purse’.
The texture is still smooth and creamy (which I love) and the color shows up really well. This color looks like a variation of grey/taupe/khaki. This color isn’t as straightforward as it looks. It looks one way under warm lighting and another under fluorescent lighting. All in all, it’s truly a Fall color that still gives you the much needed warmth.
The verdict: It grew on me. I liked the consistency, but was a little nervous how this would look against my skin. As the day went on, I liked it more and more. Overall I like it and I’m glad I bought it. There are some other shades in the collection I will try as well. If you’re looking to start your polish collection for the Fall, my suggestion would be to start here.
