As far as beauty is concerned, out of everything I buy, I typically do not buy perfume very often. I am very particular on my choices and want to wear something that won’t give me a headache or give me a cavity on first whiff. And of course, I like to have a selection I wear with each season. So on a trip to Ulta, I began browsing the new section of fragrances & share my thoughts on what has been deemed some of the “hottest” new fragrances of the season. Here are the 4 that I found particularly wonderful and have added to my Christmas ‘Wish List’.
The Scent: Lady Gaga’s ‘Fame Eau de Perfume’
Made With: Belladonna, Incense, Apricot, Honey Drops, Tiger Orchidea, Jasmin Sambac
Before we talk about the perfume, the bottle & liquid alone deserves discussion. It definitely has a personality just as big as the superstar’s! The coolest thing about this design is the black liquid. It starts out black, but sprays clear when you apply it. As for the smell, it gave me a fruity, candy smell that didn’t linger and didn’t overpower. But don’t get it twisted: it’s an insanely sexy & sultry smell. This can definitely contend with your other date night fragrances.
The Scent: Taylor Swift’s ‘Wonderstruck’
Made With: Freesia, Green Tea, Apple Blossom, Raspberry, Dewberry.
Out of all the ones I smelled, this scent surprised me the most! I would have guessed fruity strawberries, mixed with Cumulus-Nimbus clouds, Skittles, Clowns, and Candy. Are you ready for this? It smells exactly like coconut oil and shea butter, sandalwood, with a hint of vanilla. *heart melts*
She did this perfume JUSTICE!
I loooooved this perfume. This is one I would put on after an evening shower or spray on daily as a “signature scent”. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t smell too much of Raspberry, Apple Blossom, and the other scents, but either way I’m highly impressed with it.
The Scent: Coach Poppy Blossom
Made With: Lychee, Mara Strawberry, Freesia, Mandarin, Muguet, Rose Centifolia, Tuberose Fleur, Jasmine Sambac, Gardenia, Praline, Vanilla, Blonde Woods, Musk
This perfume will change your life. LOL – kidding. But it’s enough to call this scent a feminine classic. Coach Poppy Blossom reminds me of springtime – floral scents with hints of jasmine. Like their other scents, Poppy Blossom give a fresh scent, enough to make you want to run through fields of lavender on a sunny day. Overall it’s a very sophisticated scent that you can wear in the office without overpowering the boardroom upon entering a meeting. Two thumbs up!
The Scent: Vera Wang’s ‘Love Struck’
Made With: Pink Guava, Mandarin, Tuberose, Lotus Blossom, Precious Woods, Sheer Musk.
For those that like romantic, floral scents, ‘Love Struck’ is a winner. This scent reminds me of a gorgeous Spring day. It’s not too strong and would be great for everyday wear or a date night. I would even venture to say it’s a fantastic choice for upcoming Brides looking for a simple, yet romantic scent that is bound to have him ‘Love Struck’, from the first kiss to the last dance.
