In honor of Women’s History Month, INTIMACY {bra fit stylists} and Free the Girls have dedicated the month of March as National Bra Fit Styling Month. It’s time to get fitted ladies!
About 2 years ago, I wrote the post “Are You Wearing the Wrong Bra Size?” and the importance of wearing a properly fitted bra. Many women don’t realize how much their bodies change over the course of time and continue to wear ill-fitting garments held together by strings and safety pins. Well, look no further! INTIMACY has dedicated the month to educating women like yourselves on wearing a properly fitted bra and its benefits.
As my body continues to change with pregnancy, I thought it’d be a great time to get fitted to understand where I landed on the spectrum. I made an appointment at my local store in Phipps Plaza and arrived to my fitting with no clue what I would encounter.
When I arrived for my appointment, the place had a very European sexy boutique look and feel to it. It wasn’t overwhelming with garments with straps and snaps like most lingerie stores. All of the pieces were classy, simple, and very sexy, with a wide range of colors to suit your fancy.
My bra stylist was Vina, a beautiful young lady with a bubbly personality and a wealth of knowledge about their products and fitting for a bra. While others use measuring tapes, INTIMACY goes by the actual fit of the bra to measure to get a true-to-size fit. She had a fantastic eye for choosing my size and luckily my size hasn’t changed as much as I thought. When I was done, I left with a gorgeous lace number and a nice boost of confidence, as well.
