For the past few weeks I’ve been looking in various furniture, craft, and home good stores to get my home visually nice and cozy to reflect the elements of the earth. My three main focal points have been color, texture, and smells to ensure I create an inviting atmosphere that the season usually brings to me. Today, I thought I’d share some of my findings and ideas for those looking to prepare their homes for the season.

This year I’m all about leaves – the candle and the decor! I’m planning on using my apothecary jars and fill them with various potpourri and faux leaves to give that added touch. I’m also thinking about getting pillar candle holders {similar to this and this} to give me the candle and leaves all in one.

Here’s another great example of candles and leaves with a taller apothecary jar filled with pinecones and faux foliage.

Pumpkins are a nice added touch to incorporate fall into your home I’m especially a fan of the white ones, as pumpkins do not always have to mean orange

I thought this was such a cute idea! Fill the bottom of hurricane glass pillars {You can buy them here – very inexpensive} & fill them with your favorite candies as decor for Halloween or a cute way to punch up the holders for a gathering at the house.
