My all time favorite artist and musician, Alicia Keys, strikes a pose in the latest ‘W’ Magazine. The superstar donned a Alexander McQueen wool jacket, Ellen Christine hat, and Versace ring.
The stars reminisced about breaking into the music business saying, “I just wanted to be who I was, which was like so many other girls I knew. We grew up in the city, had a hard edge and obstacles to overcome, but we were still young and beautiful. I didn’t want to be all dressed up, all made up – I wanted to be myself, which hadn’t been done before.”
I have simply been in love with all things Alicia for the past 10 years (not to mention we have the same birthday!) I still listen to her first album like it dropped yesterday. She always stayed true to herself and her music is a definite reflection of that. Alicia Keys will be re-releasing 10th Anniversary Edition LP Songs in A Minor with unreleased tracks, live performances, demos, and more on June 28. I cannot wait to get my copy!
