work-style

When it comes to fashion and style, it’s important to know that when you plan, the outcome is more likely to be successful when it comes to your outfit. The same goes when you’re getting ready for work.

If you’re anything like me, you’re not a morning person, so trying to figure out a chic number to wear the morning of doesn’t usually provide the results I’m looking for. So to combat that, I look for inspiration online and magazines to put together combinations to try to make my mornings run smoothly. That said, I put together five fabulous looks to inspire you for your work attire.

Here are five looks to keep you stylish and fabulous from 9 to 5.

A Week of Work Style

Monday: Even though most have the case of “The Mondays”, there’s no need to let your style go “blah” with it. Start your week off with a cute shift dress {like this one} in nude or cream with a nude heel and nude bag.

Tuesday: For that Tuesday presentation, go with a structured look with a pencil skirt {like this one}, but don’t be afraid to wear a little color. Keep it simple with one color and make sure your accessories are understated.

Wednesday: By Hump Day, you’re feeling a little more upbeat for your mid-week proposal meeting. Enter the room with a fun stripe print dress {similar here} and red combo to provide just enough to keep your personality together in a board room setting.

Thursday: It’s time to wrap up the final talks of the week with the business meeting. Basic colors don’t have to be boring. A peplum top {like this} and pencil skirt will be just the right angles you need to show you mean business. Don’t forget a printed zip-top clutch to bring it all together. I love this one by C. Wonder.

Friday: You did it! You got the deal and you made it to another fab Friday. Dress down with jeans {like these} and a comfy tee {like this one}, paired with oxfords and an easy going cross body bag. Let’s toast to a week of success at happy hour!
