I love following fashions from around the world to get a feel for what other countries and cultures consider stylish for the moment. Especially African Fashion. Today I’ve decided to share three of my favorite shops to buy authentic African fashion pieces.
Zuvaa – A Global Marketplace for African Design
This shop has a ton of designs like maxis skirts, jackets & shoes! They also cater to plus sizes, as well.
I had the chance to interview Zuvaa Founder & Owner, Kelechi (see interview here) upon their launch.
Grass Fields is an international clothing company designed for women with a huge selection of African print pieces including blazers, midi skirts, tee shirts and sweatshirts.
Nana Wax is another great boutique that started with private sales and expanded into a boutique. According to their website, “The love for African fabrics and outwears gave its owner some innovative ideas such as matching African fabrics with European styles.” Nana Wax offers great styles for men, women, and kids.
