Aaliyah Dana Haughton: One In a Million

It’s been ten years since Earth lost an angel and Heaven gained another.  She was only 22 years old.  Aaliyah was a beautiful and talented singer, actress, and dancer that swept our hearts from the time she stepped on the scene at 15 years old.  Her soprano voice was light and graceful, beauty and smile that could light a room, and her dancing is no match with even today’s most sought after talent.

I remember that evening my best friend and I were working hard on a new routine for our Varsity Cheerleading Squad I was captain of and one of the moves I wanted to incorporate was from none other than Aaliyah.  The next day, we heard she was gone.  After all these years, I still think about Aaliyah and her family quite often.  Today I wanted to share with you some beautiful photos of “Babygirl” that made me smile.
