The Scoop: Tieks Ballet Flats

Even though my love for fashion knows no bounds, I am always introduced to new and up and coming brands pretty often. A few weeks ago I was introduced to the brand Tieks by Gavrieli, the brand with the slogan The Ballet Flat Reinvented. Shortly after I was reassured this brand was the best because Oprah wears them & highly recommends them in her favorite things. That all sounds great, but I was wanted to assess this luxury for myself.

According to the Tieks website, here are some of the benefits of owning & wearing a pair of Tieks:

• Tieks are made from 100% premium, soft, full-grain leather.
• The back of your Tieks are cushioned rather than elasticized.
• The foldable split-sole design is compact and lightweight.
• Each pair of Tieks comes with a compact pouch to compress your folded Tieks when they are in your purse and a reusable tote for your heels.

Impressed by the specs, I decided to order a pair of Fuchsia Tieks to try. Shipping was fast and free! They arrived in a matter of a few short days.

The box came at the perfect time: after a very hard day at work, so this was a perfect time to test and see if these flats were worth the money.

Here’s the rundown on my feet:
They are flat. No, really. Flat. I usually have trouble wearing flat shoes at times because they usually lack support & I begin to feel the floor. Some shoes lead me to believe I should just walk on the ground barefoot. Therefore, I stick with heels a lot.

So let’s see how this goes.

As soon as I put them on, they instantly melted on my feet. The sole is super comfortable. The leather is supple and soft. The color is vibrant. Each step I took felt like walking on marshmallows. I could spread my toes. They aren’t stiff like those funny-looking ballet flats that are plastic & taco-shaped. You can tell they are quality-made, so they are definitely durable {because I am a tyrant on a pair of shoes}. I mean, these shoes are great! I definitely tried to see what the “catch” was, but there was none I could find. These aren’t your average ballet flat!

Tieks are comfortable and convenient and fits perfectly in my purse #winning. What’s even better is that they are still fashionable and stylish if you decide to ditch the heels for a flat. We can all do without those $2 pair of satin slippers that screams “OMG MY FEET ARE ON FIRE” or look like you purposely punked out and couldn’t wear heels. This may be true, but you don’t want to give that away, right? 🙂

Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this brand and product. Tieks are definitely an investment, but I can assure you, they are worth it! My fuchsia Tieks are going to get a lot of wear! Now I need to own every color!
