All that glitters this time of year is golden and makes for a more festive holiday season! One of my favorite holiday traditions is decorating the house with festive holiday décor that will make the season that much brighter. My focal point this year is decorating tables.

Tables, no matter the size, can serve as a blank slate for quick, impact decorating. Today I’ll share three quick-hit tips anyone can do with the items they already have to decorate with or will cost little to nothing.

Think about metals & ribbons
Whether you’re into silver, gold, bronze or rose gold, it’s great to find a theme for your table and run with it. If you’re metal of choice is gold, you can find simple chargers for $4 {like these here} that can be a great way to add to your table. Take a set of cutlery and wrap in n pretty gold ribbons. Add a simple glass bowl in the middle of your table with some added pinecones. Viola!

If your table has the real estate, take small boxes you plant to toss from things your purchase and wrap them with pretty wrapping paper and add a bow to it. Simple, quick, and inexpensive.

Clear vases filled with ornaments
Everyone knows I have a “thing” for filling apothecary jars and clear vases with items that represents the current season. Use the same vases I said to use here and fill them with inexpensive, shatter-proof ornaments. Add simple, scented or votive candles to spice up the look.

Tray Chic!
Trays are an easy and fun way to organize your tables with items that you want to highlight for that room. Find knick-knacks like candle holders, pinecones and other decoratives you fancy and set on a table for some extra style.
