In this journey of blogging, I have been extremely blessed to meet such wonderful women who have a million other hats to wear (like me) and still find the time to make their blogs a wonderful place of sharing & growth. Although I didn’t meet her in the blogging world, fellow FAMU classmate & Soror, Liv, creator of Unbelievably Human, invited me on a blogging tour to share my writing process with my readers. Liv is a beautiful soul and has such a free spirit & I’m so grateful she has tagged me to be a part of this challenge. I love a chance to be candid and just kick back and let my readers get to know me a little more.

1. What am I working on?
In terms of blogging, I’m working on material for the upcoming Fall & Winter seasons. I’m putting together several looks for my personal street fashion posts, as well as coming up with newly developed content for readers to enjoy, share, and of course, try! I’m also in the process of working with some brands for reviews to share with my readers.

Brand wise, I’m busy building several businesses, including a wedding photography business, launching a lifestyle photography business, furthering our web design business, and supporting a new venture from a team of geeks.

2. How does my work differ from its type/genre?
For me, diversifying my blog’s content to “Lifestyle” made more sense for me, even though I love fashion everything. I wanted to appeal to other markets other than the typical everyday “outfit of the day” post with content such as sharing yummy recipes I try, beauty products I think are fantastic, or a quick diy project you can start. I like to keep content fresh with varying topics.

3. Why do I write what I do?
Tuh! Why not?! Just kidding… I am that girlfriend that you know that is always trying something new & sharing the latest trend in something with her friends. I write because its authentic stuff I would share with my girlfriends & I want to share great info, like beauty secrets and the latest gadget in tech in fashion, that readers will enjoy.

4. How does your writing process work?
Imagery & story telling play a huge role into my process. I let both elements spark imagination to tell a compelling story. Whether I’m describing a feeling, a mood, a thought or even doing a review, my goal is to get into the reader’s thoughts and visual space to create something great to share.
